Switches

Switches in electrical engineering are used to turn off and turn on low voltage electrical circuits in turn.

A switch has three or more contacts. One contact is common, the rest are changeover. Wires are connected to each of these contacts. To control lighting from other locations, a multi-contact switch is required. Electrical switches allow you to control the operation of any electrical device, not just lighting.
